Conservation Areas

Conservation Areas are designated in areas considered to be of special architectural or historic interest, the character or appearance of which it is desirable to preserve or enhance.

The Isle of Wight has 36 Conservation Areas which are listed below along with the dates of designation. The first areas were designated in 1969, with the most recent being 2012.
