The conservation area was designated on 31 March 1998 and was re-evaluated and amended on 20 June 2007.

Conservation Area Character Appraisal

The Isle of Wight Council has produced a Conservation Area Appraisal for the St Helens Conservation Area. This document was adopted on 20 June 2007.

The Appraisal sets out the Council’s definition of the special interest of the St Helens Conservation Area. It will be used as a basis for planning decisions, appeal statements and conservation advice.
