More than half the Island is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with over 500 miles of award-winning public foot paths and bridleways and almost 30 miles of the seashore has been designated as Heritage Coast.
Estuaries are complex and highly productive ecosystems supporting a wide range of habitats and species.
About half of the Island is AONB, mostly in the South and West, but with five parcels stretching across the island.
