Performing Animals
If a person intends to keep or train animals for public performance, (e.g. circus or films), the animal needs to be licensed by Isle of Wight Council.
Licences are issued under the Performing Animals (Regulation) Act 1925 and are renewable annually.
The premises and accommodation must satisfy basic standards for the health, welfare and safety of the animals that it is intended to keep.  We will arrange a veterinary surgeon's inspection to ensure that the accommodation is suitable.
The licence will be issued subject to compliance with licence conditions.
