Koko the Library Bear
Are you going on holiday? Whether you’re camping in Devon, or backpacking in Australia, Koko the bear would love to go with you!
Take Koko on your holiday and bring him back to the library along with a photo and some information about your trip. It’s a great chance to get your child talking about what they’ve seen, and what books they enjoyed while they were away.
Here at the children’s library we have a folder with all of Koko’s adventures inside, and he is ready to go on holiday again!
Speak to a member of staff if you would like to book a date to take Koko away with you.
Rhyme time for under 5s every Monday 10am
Rhyme time is an informal session of rhymes and songs for babies and toddlers, using bells and rattles, and making lots of noise!
The ‘Rhyme Time’ session, which takes place every Monday (except bank holidays), runs from 10am – 11am.
From 10 – 10.30, parents are able to arrive and settle their children, whilst catching up with other parents and children alike (there will be toys and books to play with). The rhymes then begin at 10.30 for half an hour, run by a member of staff, ending the session at 11am.
The session takes place in the children’s library and there are lovely new toys, rattles and puppets for the children to enjoy.
If you haven’t yet come along to this free weekly event, the library staff would like to extend a warm and friendly welcome to you and your family. There’s no need to book; just come along and join in!
(Children should be supervised by an adult at all times.)
Children's Storytime every Saturday 11am
A regular half-hour storytime for younger children (ideally between 3 – 8 years).
It’s free to come along, and you don’t need to book in advance. Children should be supervised by an adult at all times.
