Events at Lord Louis Library:
Over 60s GroupOver 60, interested in meeting new people, having a cup of tea and a good old chat? Come down to us every other Monday, 10.30am – 12.00pm. Next meeting is Monday 4th March. A representative from Action On Hearing Loss will be joining this meeting to give advice.
Childrens Storytime
Every Saturday, from 10.30 – 11.00 there is a storytime for 4-8 year olds. Come down for stories, colouring and fun!
There are regular advice sessions held at the library, usually on the first Thursday of each month. Please check for details.
Knit & Natter
A regular knitting group in Lord Louis Library.
There is a free session on the third Thursday of every month.
Bring along your latest project to the next meeting on Thursday 21st March 5.45pm to 7.00 pm.

Newport Library Poets Corner
Do you enjoy Poetry? Would you like to join a group with like minded individuals and perhaps learn more about the poets themselves?
Come along the 1st Wednesday of every month 10 - 11 am.

Reading Groups
The Library reading groups meet once a month at the library, usually the first Thursday of the month. Please ask at the counter or telephone for further details.
The Read Vitalise reading group is a new facilitated reading group for people with experience of depression, anxiety and other common mental health problems. They meet every second Thursday of the month at the Library.

Free Energy Meter to borrow for three weeksUnderstanding energy usage helps put you in control of how much you are using, and makes it easier to see ways to reduce your overall consumption. The Electrisave is a device which attaches to your electricity meter at home and lets you monitor your usage in real time. The transmitter at the meter sends over your electricity usage which is then displayed on the unit, which you can put in a suitable place - for example the kitchen or living room.
Why not
borrow one from the Library and see how much energy you could save.
