The Isle of Wight Council is able to receive Planning Applications online via the Planning Portal.

Making an Online Application
Anyone wishing to make an online submission to the Council should visit the Planning Portal website. When making an application you will be asked to register your details if you are not already an existing customer. Once you have completed your application, you may submit it electronically or print off your work and send it by post.

You can also use the on-line applications service to produce a site location plan to accompany your application.

The Planning Portal is intended to be the first point of call for anyone who wants to find out about the planning system in England and Wales. It is aimed at everyone, form central government and local authorities to planning professionals and the layperson.

Each section of the Planning Portal offers information on a different aspect of the planning system. You can navigate between theses sections yourself or follow links that will take you to related pages across the site or to other sites that contain relevant information.

You can also specify a location on the Planning Portal. This allows you to view information specifically designed for your area as well as giving you local contacts, which you can use to gain further information. You can also try searching the portal for the information you require.
