The Data Protection Act 1998 applies to all records that contain personally identifiable information. This includes paper records as well as records held on computer. The Data Protection Officer for the Council is the Monitoring Officer. This policy sets out how the Council complies with the legislation. The Home to Education Transport Policy sets out the Council's statutory responsibilities with regard to the provision of Home to Education Transport for pupils and students attending school, 6th form or college on the Isle of Wight. The policy is reviewed annually and any changes are subject to public consultation

The purpose of the Disciplinary Procedure is to provide a framework through which shortcomings in an employee’s conduct or behaviour can be addressed, to help the person to achieve and maintain the standards expected of them.
The aim is to ensure consistent and fair treatment for all staff across the Council / School.
The Council reserves the right to implement the procedure at any stage, taking into account the nature and seriousness of the employee’s alleged misconduct.
