SUSTAINABLE TRAVEL TO SCHOOL

The Isle of Wight Council promotes active (walking and cycling) and sustainable (bus, train and car share) travel to school. A Sustainable Travel to School Strategy has been written and can be viewed here. Public consultation of the draft strategy closed on 31 January 2008 and the comments can be found here. Schools are developing travel plans and further details, including examples of completed plans, are available at Eduwight and can be viewed here.
