Snow in Ryde earlier this weekOwing to the heavy snowfall affecting the Island, many residents may wish to check if their child or children's local schools are opening as normal or the current status of the Island's roads/transport links.

Parents should click on the link below and/or listen to local radio as to whether their child's/children's schools will be opening before setting off on their journey.

As of Thursday 14 January all schools are now currently open.

Isle of Wight council has taken steps to ensure any such issues are made public as soon as possible. Regular updates as to the status of local schools and roads as well as any public council services will be posted here and local media will be informed.
