Drug Action Team
The Council’s Drug Action team (DAT) is responsible for the delivery of the treatment element of the Council’s Drug Strategy. This strategy seeks to:
- reduce drug related violence and crime
- reduce and prevent usage of illegal drugs and alcohol and minimise their harm
- treat and rehabilitate users
- reduce related offending and crime

IDAS – Island Drug and Alcohol ServiceIDAS aim to reduce the harm caused by substance misuse, offering needle exchange, substitute prescribing, care co-ordination, psycho-social interventions and acupuncture.
