Public Footpath R89, at Horestone Point, Nettlestone will be closed for a distance of 80 metres south.

The closure is necessary in the interests of public safety following a landslip

The closure came into force 20 Feb 2013 and will run for 6 months or when the works have been completed, if sooner.

During the period of closure the landslip area can be bypassed by walking on the beach at low tide, or the alternative route will be: Following the Coastal Path via the Esplanade at Nettlestone, Public Footpath R74, Public Bridleway R84, Public Footpath R85 and Duver Car Park at St Helens.
