Grazing Sites


The following sites are owned by the Isle of Wight Council and leased or licensed for Grazing purposes:

  • Cowes Land at Chawton
  • East Cowes Whippingham Road
  • Nettlestone Land at Eddington Road
  • Newchurch Land at Alverstone Shute
  • Newport Land at Forest Hills, Gunville
  • Newport Land Adj Carisbrooke High School
  • Newport Land at North Fairlee
  • Newport Land at Pan
  • Newport Land at St Georges Way (adjacent Independent Arts)
  • Newport Land off Slyvan Drive
  • Newport Land off Whitcombe Road
  • Newport Land at Bowcombe Road
  • Ryde Land at Smallbrook Lane
  • Sandown Land at Sandown Levels
  • Shanklin Pear Tree Butt
  • Shanklin Land adjacent Sibden Hill

Grazing Licenses are issued from Property Services and are granted for a length of 364 days. The plots of land used for Grazing purposes are currently all in use, but if a site becomes available the opportunity to lease it will be advertised in the in the Isle of Wight County Press.

In the meantime if you would like to complete our Grazing expression of interest form a member of the Property Services Team will contact you when a site becomes available.
