Surplus School Sites

The council has published a list of school sites it may look to put on the market once the current schools on those sites have either relocated or closed under the Schools Reorganisation Project.

These sites are Greenmount, Whippingham, Broadlea, Gurnard Love Lane and Hunnyhill primary schools and also Swanmore and West Wight Middle.

A final decision approving the decision to dispose of these school sites has been taken under delegated decision powers. To read the delegated decision, click here

For some of these sites, the council will seek planning permission for redevelopment before they are market for disposal. Prior to planning applications being submitted, information events were held at Gurnard Primary School, Swanmore Middle School and West Wight Middle School.
