Parish Election

Information for Town and Parish Council Candidates

Individuals who wish to stand as a Candidate for election to Town or Parish Councils are strongly recommended to read the comprehensive guidance notes issued by The Electoral Commission – please use the links below.

In order to stand as a Candidate the Returning Officer must receive a fully completed Nomination Paper and Consent to Nomination by the deadline for receipt of Nominations, which is noon on Thursday 8th April 2010. IF the date of the General Election is called for Thursday 6th May, then the Town and Parish elections will be postponed for three weeks and an update will be posted on this page.
