Under the current waste collection scheme, garden waste can be collected from your house on your non-recycling collection day (black sacks – pink square on your calendar). To have garden waste collected, it must be placed in the special green sacks that can be purchased from any of the council’s libraries or from Island Waste direct. Green sacks can be purchased from council libraries (see list below) or directly from Island Waste. Sacks cost £1.30 each; If you order 5 sacks or more, the sacks can be delivered to you by Island Waste. Call the firm on 0800 328 3851 to arrange this. Place your filled green sacks on the kerbside next to your black sacks and they will be collected on your normal non-recycling collection day. | |
