How to pay

Twelve Monthly Instalments – From April 2013 you can now request to pay your Council Tax over 12 monthly instalments from April – March inclusive. To request this click here.
Act now and you will also help us save the cost of sending you more paperwork. Any delay means your request may not allow sufficient time to start the new instalment plan in time for your annual bill for 2013/14.
Your bill shows how much Council Tax you have to pay. Payments should be received on or before the date they are due.

Methods of Payment

Direct Debit is the easiest way to pay your Council Tax. We offer a choice of payment dates – 1st, 10th or 20th of the month or ½ yearly (2 instalments 1st April & 1st September).

Why change to Direct Debit?

  • It is a more convenient way to pay.
  • It helps you budget for the future.
  • It saves you money on postage and stationery.
  • It avoids travelling expenses and queuing.
  • You do not have to complete a new form every year, unless you change Bank or Building Society or move house.
  • You will be notified at least ten working days before an amount is debited.
  • You can cancel a Direct Debit at any time.
