Local Investment PlanThe Local Investment Plan is the name given to the Homes and Communities Agency’s (HCA) most important business process. It is the way the HCA agrees priorities and secures delivery at the local level in support of its national objectives.
The Isle of Wight Council met with the Homes and Communities Agency between June and August 2010 and agreed to produce a LIP for the Island.
The LIP brings together the evidence of the key infrastructure priorities for the Island needed to bring forward development and additional affordable housing in key Island locations.
The LIP sets out the deficiency in funding between what is available and that required to deliver the aspirations that we have identified.
Through the Local Investment Plan process, the HCA will work with the Island to:
- Bridge local ambition and national targets
- Achieve local vision through a shared investment agreement
- Agree and secure local delivery of affordable housing
