Managing Conflict within the Workplace

Target Group:
Practitioners working within the Early Years Foundation Stage, this include day care providers, childminders and school based staff

Course Aims:

  • To understand how conflicts arise
  • To understand how to minimise anger, aggression and conflict
  • To develop positive skills including body language and verbal skills which  help reduce the potential for conflict


Intended Impact:
To increase the confidence of practitioners working with colleagues, families and other agencies.

Course Trainer:
Alison Botha - Alison is an experienced youth and community worker, trainer, group worker, mediator and counsellor. Following her first career as a journalist she moved into more ‘person-centred’ work and gained a Dip Y and C at Alsager College. After 13 years with the Isle of Wight Council she became an independent training consultant and established Advance Training and Mediation Consultancy.
