Giving Effective Feedback

Target Group:
Early Years Day care managers and those with a supervisory role within the setting

Course Aims:

To enable managers to

  • resolve challenging situations within supervision sessions and as part of day-to-day management.
  • to give negative feedback effectively;
  • to challenge behaviour constructively;

 

To increase the awareness of effective communication skills which enable the two outcomes above.



Intended Impact:
To increase day care managers’ professional competence and personal self-confidence.

Course Trainer:
Alison Botha - Alison is an experienced youth and community worker, trainer, group worker, mediator and counsellor. Following her first career as a journalist she moved into more ‘person-centred’ work and gained a Dip Y and C at Alsager College. After 13 years with the Isle of Wight Council she became an independent training consultant and established Advance Training and Mediation Consultancy.
