Course Aims:

An overview of the regulations and the governing body’s responsibilities in relation to the Headteachers Performance Review. To include an update on the 2012 DfE teacher appraisal and capability policy

Guidance on:

• Setting objectives
• Using the Professional Standards for Headteachers
• Providing ongoing monitoring
• Reviewing performance

Intended Impact:
To give governors the knowledge required to take ownership of the Performance Management process.
