Target Group:For Core front line staff, Specialist Roles, Supervisor/Team leader, Manager. Courses may be negotiated for different role focus i.e. a course for those working in “care” roles may require a different approach than those who are in an “enforcement” role or “initial contact” role.
Course Aims:
The course is approximately 4 hours duration and delivered by an approved trainer for conflict resolution training - developed as a National Syllabus for staff in the NHS and is eminently adaptable for other public services. The day has the following listed as objectives:

Intended Impact:This workshop is to support staff in dealing with conflict situations that may arise in their work role. Although primarily aimed at front line staff with roles that interact with the public this workshop can also provide useful training for dealing with conflict situations within work. The focus will be on; recognising potential conflict situations and triggers, the council’s policies and procedures relating to managing conflict situations, skills and understanding to minimise conflict with last resort actions to take.
