Exploring the Characteristics of Effective Learning for Childminders

Prospective and Registered Childminders

Practitioners who attended ‘Exploring the Prime and Specific Areas of Learning and Development’ on the 12th November 2012, need not apply



Course Aims:

To explore the 3 characteristics of effective learning and the EYFS themes, to gain a clearer understanding of how they are seen in practice and how they can be supported.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

By the end of the course practitioners will be able to:

  • Identify how different resources and experiences enable children to play and explore, engage in active learning and create and think critically.
  • Understand how to provide an enabling environment that supports this learning.
  • Identify how to develop their own practice in supporting children's learning through reflection
  • Understand how the characteristics of effective learning support the areas of learning and development


Intended Impact:
Practitioners will have a range of practical tools to support their understanding and the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage within their setting
