Emergency First Aid at Work

Target Group:
Appointed first aiders and those who may need to administer first aid.

Course Aims:

• The role of the first aider
• Priorities of first aid
• Respiration and circulation
• Treatment for choking
• Management of bleeding
• Treatment for shock
• Treatment of minor injuries

Intended Impact:
On completion of training, successful delegates should be able to administer basic first aid in an emergency situation. This course follows the new HSE syllabus effective from September 2009.
