ADHD Workshop for schools and parents

Target Group:
Any staff  working with children/young people diagnosed with ADHD & parents of children diagnosed with ADHD (to be accessed through paediatricians and schools)

Course Aims:

  • To provide an understanding of ADHD & behaviour
  • To consider the effects of ADHD on the pupil and on learning
  • To develop effective strategies to manage behaviour for learning


Intended Impact:

  • To support schools’ staff  & parents in understanding of ADHD
  • To provide opportunities for sharing good practice and working consistently between home and school to improve children’s positive outcomes.
  • To improve confidence in skills to effectively manage the behaviour associated with ADHD


Prerequisites:

Resources Required

Schools staff - Prior reading and bring to course:

  • School behaviour policy
  • Home/school agreement
  • IEP sample
