Outstanding Teaching for Ofsted 2012

Target Group:
This course is for anyone working in a primary school but is particularly useful for helping Teachers and Teaching Assistants plan for Outstanding Lessons.

Course Aims:

  • To evaluate teaching using Chris Quigley’s ‘Learning Lenses’ approach.
  • To plan for and sharpen teacher focus on learning.
  • To consider staff strengths across the school and highlight where subject knowledge could be improved.
  • To help Teachers and Teaching Assistants plan for Outstanding Lessons.


Intended Impact:
For primary school practitioners to understand the key features of outstanding teaching in the context of the Ofsted 2012 framework.

Notes:
Lunch will be provided.


Course Trainer:
Andy Meller - Senior Consultant – Chris Quigley Education Ltd. Andy has been the Head Teacher of two contrasting primary schools and was praised by OFSTED for the work he undertook leading his first school out of Serious Weaknesses and into category 1 'beacon' status within a 3 year time frame. Passionate in his belief that we need to develop 21st Century schools fit for 21st Century children, Andy has extensive experience of helping schools to develop and embed innovative and creative approaches to learning and teaching, school leadership and curriculum design and delivery. Andy has now joined Chris Quigley Education as a full time consultant, alongside Chris.
