Anti-Bullying Awareness

Target Group:
Any staff working with children/young people during unstructured times i.e. playtime/lunch times, wishing to develop their understanding of children/young people’s behaviour

Course Aims:

  • To understand definitions of bullying and how this might be recognised
  • To understand the  main components of an anti-bullying policy
  • To consider the effects of bullying on pupils’ development and learning
  • To examine your own organisation’s practice in order to implement anti-bullying measures as applicable


Intended Impact:

  • To provide an understanding of definitions of bullying and how this might be recognised
  • To support schools staff in raising awareness of anti-bullying good practice
  • To provide opportunities for sharing good practice and working consistently within settings and with wider partnerships to improve children & young people’s positive outcomes.
  • To support schools staff in development & implementation of anti bullying policies and strategies.


Prerequisites:

Schools staff - Prior reading and bring to course:

  • School Anti-bullying Policy
  • Home/school agreement
