Reception Teachers - EYFS - refreshed!

Target Group:
NQTs, those new to Reception, and teachers wishing to refresh their practice

Course Aims:

Teachers will be able to deliver quality EYFS practice

Objectives:

  • Gain a greater understanding of :

−         the four themes of EYFS

−         the characteristics of effective learning

−         the prime and specific areas of learning

  • Confidently make and use accurate assessments, and explore systems used to review, record and report
  • To share practice and establish a network of support


Intended Impact:
·        All children in YR achieve best possible outcomes as a direct result of effective pedagogy within the EYFS.

Attendees to bring:

·        Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage Dfe(March 2012)

·        Development Matters in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) - Early Education (March 2012)

·        Principles into Practice cards and Poster ( EYFS  May 2008)



Notes:
This is a 3 part course with attendance required at all sessions
