Overview of Learning and Development Requirements outlined within the Early Years Foundation Stage

Target Group:
Prospective Childminders and Active Childminders who would like to refresh their knowledge and understanding of the Learning and Development Requirements outlined within the EYFS

Course Aims:

To provide an overview of Learning and Development Requirements including

  • An Introduction to three prime and four Specific areas of learning.
  • To consider the Characteristics of effective learning
  • Introduction to the 2 year old progress check
  • To view possible approaches to observation, assessment and planning
  • To explore the importance of attachment and transition 


Intended Impact:
Delegates will have a basic understanding of the Learning and Development Requirements outlined within the Early Years Foundation Stage

Prerequisites:
Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage – Dfe 2012
‘A Know How Guide’.
Please bring a copy of the Early Years Foundation Stage statutory requirements’.
