An Overview of the Early Years Foundation Stage Statutory Framework

Target Group:
Prospective Childminders – Active Childminders who would like to refresh their knowledge and understanding of the EYFS Statutory Framework

Course Aims:

Clarification around the statutory requirements for safeguarding and welfare for childminders:

• An Introduction to the Safeguarding and Welfare requirements
• To explore Child Protection and Safeguarding in it’s broader context
• To consider Health & Safety/Risk assessment within the home environment.
• To discuss the requirements around the Childcare Register

Intended Impact:
Delegates will have a basic understanding of statutory requirements outlined within the Early Years Foundation Stage

Prerequisites:
Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage – Dfe 2012

Please bring a copy of the ‘Early Years Foundation Stage statutory requirements’
