Target Group:
One practitioner from each setting working with the under threes – preferably the ECAT ELLP, or an experienced practitioner.

Course Aims:

Morning session will cover:
Babies and toddlers’ speech, language and communication development

Afternoon session will cover:
Working with under threes – Positive approaches to supporting communication development

Aims

• Understand the processes of pre-verbal and early verbal development in the under threes
• Practitioners will understand their role in supporting speech, language and communication development for children 0-3 years
• Participants will be confident in sharing information/best practice with fellow practitioners

Intended Impact:
Practitioners will be able to support the communication development of all children, particularly the most vulnerable, and this will enable better outcomes for children throughout their lives.
