School Income Generation

Target Group:
School Governors, Headteachers, Members of the School Leadership Team, School Business Managers, Finance Managers

Course Aims:

The main theme of the workshop is that, whilst there isn’t a pot of gold waiting to be found, schools can take a professional, strategic approach to income generation. The workshop focuses on three areas:

• Internal fundraising activities;
• Bidding for external grants;
• Entrepreneurial opportunities.

Intended Impact:

The aims of the workshop are to:

• Develop an understanding of how to put into place a strategy for income generation;
• Provide practical information and guidance on internal and external funding opportunities available to schools;
• Provide guidance on how to write successful bids for funding;
• Investigate opportunities for entrepreneurial activities in schools.

Prerequisites:
Participants will be sent a list of websites to familiarise themselves with before the workshop.

Notes:
Lunch will be provided.
