Ensuring every individual on the Island has the opportunity to participate fully in Island life.

5. PROTECTING AND DEVELOPING THE ISLAND'S CULTURAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL RESOURCES
Securing the protection of the Island's heritage and natural and built environment and raising awareness of their importance to the well-being of the Island's resources.

6. PROMOTING ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT & TOURISM
Contributing to the development of economic prosperity on the Island through the creation and attraction of cultural investment, especially in the tourism sector which draws its primary strength from the cultural services.

7. MAKING COMMUNITES SAFER
Encouraging participation in cultural activities as a constructive use of leisure time as an alternative to boredom and anti-social behaviour.

8. PROMOTING PHYSICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH
Encouraging the uptake of physically and/or mentally stimulating activities as a route to staying healthy and a foundation for a full and active life.
