At its meeting on 25th June 2012, Niton and Whitwell Parish Council resolved to adopt the Code of Conduct developed by the Isle of Wight Council for its members.

All Council Members are now required to complete a Register of Interests listing their disclosable pecuniary interests. These are interests that are required to be declared by the Localism Act 2011 and the Relevant Authorities (Disclosable Pecuniary Interests) Regulations 2012. These declarations relate to the member and any interests they are aware of relating to their spouse or civil partner or a person they live with as husband and wife or as if they were civil partners.
