Come and see a fascinating collection of shoes and accessories from the past 150 years. On view will be designs worn by dedicated followers of fashion such as the amazing 70s platform heels as well as children’s footwear and baby shoes worn in the Victorian era.

Mystery Objects from Victorian Times

An amazing collection of mystery objects from the Victorian era will be on display. Come along and try to identify how the various weird and wonderful items would have been put to good use by our predecessors.

February Half-Term Activity Days at Newport Roman Villa
Wednesday 20 February and Friday 22 February 2013

Newport Roman Villa is opening for two family activity days during the school half-term holiday.
On Wednesday 20 February visitors can try their hand at moulding Roman-themed objects
from clay, while on Friday 22 February there’s a chance to make a colourful mask from craft
materials to take home.

Both events will take place in the indoor activity room between 10.30am and 3.00pm.
The admission fee for these special days will be £1 for all (adults and children). This reduced
admission fee will include all activities and entry to the site.

The villa will open to visitors for these two days during the February half-term;
it will reopen for Easter from 28 March until 2 November 2013.
