Theatre in Education (T.I.E)

Many touring productions have visited island schools giving hard hitting and memorable road safety messages to island pupils. Click here for information on touring companies who have brought TIE to the Isle of Wight.

Minibus training

Our minibus and Multi People Vehicle (MPVs) training is for all council drivers, drivers who use council insured minibus and MPVs. These include teachers and carers. Anyone who needs to do this needs to complete the 1 day assessment course paid for by your employer. Costs are £35+VAT. Click here for details

Extra curricular

We assist withroad safety proficiency badges for cubs, brownies and scouts. We can also provide assistance in planning for practical road safety sessions.

Safe routes to school

We also help educate pupils in finding alternative ways to travel to school by using surveys with pupils. Improving the infrastructure around island schools.

Cycle training

Introduction to cycling for 8-9 year olds. On successful completion can progress to level 2 at middle school

Walk to school and Walk on Wednesdays (WoW)

Ded) icated campaigns for parents to leave the car at home and for pupils to travel to school as pedestrians or cyclists. Keep fit, stay healthy, save money. For further details click here

Education on using roads

Practical training on using various types of pedestrian crossings and hazard perception to aid in everyday life.

Wheelchair training

Road safety training to users. Disabled group teaching and practical. For further details click here

Middle Schools

Cycle training

Level 2 - On road cycling for 10+ year olds. Once completed can progress to level 3

Level 3 - Independent cycling for 10+ year olds. Practical session costing £25 in total. A one-to-one session with an instructor. Covers route planning, gears, basic maintenance

Pre-driver training

For 16-17 year olds to provide them with the basic car control skills to make them safer and more responsible drivers. Costs are £21 per student for 11 hours tuition. For further details click here
