Local Flavours Launch

Southern Co-op's new local produce range - Local Flavours - was launched at their Freshwater store on Thursday March 1st 2007.

In a speech at the well attended event, Phil Ponsonby the Co-op's General Manager of Commercial Operations, emphasised the company's belief that local people should be able to buy local produce from their local store. Prior to the launch of the Local Flavours range, 80% of local residents surveyed illustrated their desire to support our Island economy in this manner. Supplementary to this, Phil was keen to point out that this new local range, as its name indicates, is also very much about the flavour associated with the superb quality these Island products.
