Know Your Consumer Rights Campaign


The Office of Fair Trading continues to raise awareness of consumers’ rights relating to the Sale of Good Act under the Know your Rights Campaign.
The campaign provides consumers with practical tips and informs them of their rights including the following:
  • Knowing your consumer rights can save you money and hassle
  • Items you buy must be:
    - fit for purpose
    - of satisfactory quality
    - fit the description give
  • Shop around and do research to get the best deal
  • If you encounter a problem talk to the trader as soon as possible
