The IOW Council Sports Development Unit is committed to supporting the masses of sports clubs, individuals, coaches, officials and volunteers who help contribute to sporting success on the Island. Whether you be a national athlete or a linesman at your local football club there is financial support available to help you.
The sports unit have secured funding to pass onto local sports clubs looking to build a legacy and grow their club. This could cover a wide range of projects to help improving participation through advertising, to rewarding club members who volunteer with training.
All types of project will be considered and grants of £200 to £1000 will be awarded on the merit of each application. The sports unit have been joined by members of, the Primary Care Trust, and Community Action IOW and will work together to find the best and most deserving projects.
Just remember, any club can apply, for any given amount, to deliver any project.

The sports unit collects and collates information on many charities and organisations that offer grants to sports clubs therefore there may be other sources of funding which are available to your club.
If you are a charity or organisation offering sports grants please do not hesitate to contact the sports unit by click on the ‘Contact Information’ tab or email us by using the ‘Send a message’ tab above, to inform us of any new funds which could be added to these databases.
