Registration of Deaths

Description of Service: All deaths must be registered with a Registrar of Births and Deaths in the area where the death occurred. They should be registered within 5 days unless a coroner is investigating the circumstances of the death. Tell Us Once is a new service provided by the Registry Office that enables us to help with your recent bereavement. With your permission we will inform the relevant Government Departments and some Isle of Wight Council Services of the bereavement and forward any relevant documentation to them on your behalf. This will mean that you will not have to inform these departments separately.
