Description of Service: Aiming High for Disabled Children’ resulted from constant lobbying of the government by key groups such as Mencap and Barnardos and most importantly of all, parents of disabled children. The Government recognised that there was an evident need to provide better services for disabled children and their families to offer not only positive and enjoyable activities for the children, but a break from caring for the parents and carers.
