Council Tax Benefit Consultation

Your FAQ

Question: How can I pay my Council Tax?

Answer: You can make your payment by Direct Debt, over the telephone using our automated telephone payments system, by cheque or at the post office. You will need to telephone the council tax team on (01983) 823901 if you would like a card to use at the post office, or if you want to set up a Direct Debit. Please have your bank details with you when you call to arrange the Direct Debit.
Payments can be made by telephoning the Automated phone line on 0207 1381970 or the council tax team on (01983) 823901 8.30am to 5.30 pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30am to 6pm Friday. Outside of these hours you can call the automated payment line on 0207 1381970. The payment line is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Libraries - You can make your payments at Ryde and Newport Library using their self service kiosk. All you need is your account reference number and your debit or credit card. Select the ‘My Community’ option on the kiosk, input your account reference number and enter the payment amount using your debit or credit card.

The option to pay using the Self Service Kiosks will be extended to Freshwater, Cowes, Sandown and Ventnor Library in November 2012.
