Planning Appeals

Service Description: The Councils decision on Planning Applications can sometimes lead to an appeal. Appeals may be made for a number of reasons, but most are made because the Council has refused Planning Permission. An appeal should be the last resort and would normally only arise after unsuccessful negotiations with the Development Control section. In England, appeals are made to the Planning Inspectorate which is part of the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister.
