The results of the 2009 Isle of Wight Council election results, held on 4 June 2009, are as follows:

Prior to the elections, the political make-up of Isle of Wight Council was as follows: *(Please note there were 48 elected members up until the 2009 elections. Following changes to the boundary by the Boundary Committee for England, the number of elected members is now 40, serving 39 electoral divisions)
