Information for Forest Road Household Waste Recycling Centre Users

Forest Road household waste recycling centre will close to the public on Saturday 5 September but open for longer on Sunday 6 September.

The closure is due to safety concerns over large refuse collection vehicles sharing the site with members of the public. This situation only occurs following Bank Holiday weekends when extra collections are carried out the following Saturday.

The site will extend its opening hours on Sunday and open from 7am to 7pm and the Lynnbottom and Freshwater recycling centres will remain open as normal.

Isle of Wight council apologises for any inconvenience this may cause.
