Affordable Housing – Coming Soon

The following schemes are currently in development on the Isle of Wight and consist of units being developed for social rent and other intermediate affordable housing schemes.

Units will be allocated in accordance with any local lettings plan that exists and in accordance with Island Homefinder scheme.

Southern Quarter Development, Oakfield Ryde through Southern Housing Group/South Wight Housing

An additional 8 units built to meet the needs of disabled residents.

Hawthorn Meadows Development through HydeMartlet Housing Association

An additional 42 affordable social rented units that should start to complete from March 2011 onwards.

Pan Meadows, Newport through Spectrum Housing Group/Medina Housing Association

A mixture of social rented and shared ownership units (a minimum of 254) to be delivered over the next 15 years.

Wight Motors, Ryde through Spectrum Housing Group/Medina Housing Association

A development of 15 flats for social rent to be completed during 2010/11
