The Isle of Wight Council is committed to improving safety for cyclists and delivers the National Standard of cycling training which is based upon the standard at which Bikeability is based. This cycle training is dubbed the Cycling Proficiency Test for the 21st century. Level 2 of the training is currently being offered to all Year 6 school pupils. This level of training consists of one 2 hour session and five 1.5 hour on road sessions for 10+ year olds. The aims of the course are:
