This service is available to help family members and witnesses through the process of an Inquest.

Trained Volunteers can help by,

Showing you around the court
Explaining the procedure and Officials’ job
Help with any practical problems
Giving support before and during the inquest
Help is friendly, professional, free and totally confidential
They can be contacted through the Coroner’s Office

An information leaflet entitled “The Coroner’s Inquest Service” is sent with witness warnings listing the services provided. This leaflet can also be obtained at the Coroner’s Office at any time.
