OBTAINING COPIES


Photocopies

Photocopies can be made subject to the document's physical condition and copyright regulations. The charges are 30p for A4 and 40p for A3. There is a minimum charge of £3.00 for copies ordered by post within the UK and £5.00 for copies ordered overseas.


Copies from Microfilm

It is possible to print copies from material held on microfilm/fiche. The charges for these are 30p for A4 and 40p for A3 when the copying is undertaken by a member of the public. (Please note that it is advisable to book the microfilm printer in advance.) When the copies are ordered by post, there is a £5.00 search fee to cover the cost of the staff searching the microfilm/fiche and postage within the UK. For copies to be sent outside the UK, a £6.00 search fee is payable. Research Service).


Copies on CD

It is possible to purchase copies of illustrations held at the Record Office on CD ROM, subject to the physical condition and size of the original, and copyright regulations. This would allow you to manipulate the image on your own computer and print your own copies of the image. The charges for this service are £5.00 per disk and up to 5 images. Extra images are charged at 50p each. Outside Europe, the charge for the disk and five images is £6.00.

Photographic Copies

It is possible to take a digital image of documents using your own equipment. This office offers a Photographic Licence that allows you to photograph any document in our collections, subject to the document’s physical condition and copyright regulations. The charges for the use of a digital camera are £2.50 for a one day licence, £15.00 for six months or £25.00 for 12 months.
