Dinosaur Isle is Britain’s first purpose built dinosaur museum and visitor attraction. The Isle of Wight is the most important site for dinosaur remains in Europe and this interactive museum is dedicated to the display and conservation of the Island's incredible geology and fossil collections.
Managed by the Isle of Wight Council, Dinosaur Isle is an all-year-round facility, combining entertainment, education and enjoyment. Visitors can experience a walk back through time, right through from the Ice Age of the recent past, back to the Cretaceous period when dinosaurs lived.
The Dinosaur Isle website provides a range of information about the attraction, including opening times, admission prices and details of special events. You can use the website to find out more about the collections and on-going research into geographical studies on the Isle of Wight. Find out everything you need to know about the various dinosaur species and discover some key facts about each of them.
The website also contains useful information and resources for teachers and education practitioners, including activity worksheets and a list of field trip locations.
